Evan's Gravestone

For those of you that don't follow my wife's blog, you probably should because she writes much more often and in much more detail than I do. But in case you haven't seen them already I've decided to post the pictures of Evan's Gravestone that were set last month.

It's been over four months since he died, but it feels like it has been so much longer. I'm not sure why that is, maybe because so much has happened since then. I miss him a lot and think about him every day. It's usually when I spend a lot of time with Jocelyn that I think about and miss him the most. I've found that I've bonded with Jocelyn more than any other of our children at her age. I'm not sure if it's because of Evan or because she's my first daughter.

hey Tymon
Evan's gravestone is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking, and the words are so wonderful and meaningful.I can only imagine how much thought and love you and Bridget put into it.
I love that there is a picture of him on it for everyone to share and to know that he was-and is- more than "just" a name.
Thank you for sharing the pictures, as painful as they are to see -as it brings back so many memories, it also lets me see that his gravesite has now transformed into a lovely grassy area and that he will live on in more than just memories. It is also strangely comforting as it helps ease the last image of his grave as I left him last fall.

I have no doubt that your close bond with Jocelyn is a result of Evan's death, perhaps Gods gentle hand and way of helping you heal emotionally from your trauma? Whatever the reason, I am glad you are enjoying the newness of a baby daughter to love, to hold, to cuddle, to teach and to learn from.
Much love
Miss you
Karen
