US Airways Emergency Landing

I'm sure many of you heard about the US Airways plane that landed in the Hudson river a couple weeks ago. There are a few important lessons that should be learned from this:

1. Always upgrade

2. Prepare for everything

On a more serious note though, the passengers of Flight 1549 were all given $5,000 and Chairman's Preferred status until March 2010...and of course, their lives. Today I read in USA Today that some of the passengers were complaining about not getting enough. One said, "the temporary tease of first-class perks is for the birds." That leads to the third lesson learned:

3. When you're a pilot in an emergency on a plane, crash as hard as possible ensuring there are no survivors to avoid years of litigation and lawsuits.
