Often when I listen to music I think about it terms of how it could fit in a movie. The following is a list I have compiled over the years and the scenes that I play in my head when I listen to them:
Song played after a couple breaks up and the guy is walking through the city distraught:
Breaking Benjamin, Forget It
Song played as a montage of video shows a athlete moving up the ranks getting closer to the final bout:
Kanye West, Amazing
This song is played as a grandmother remembers the special moments she had as her daughter was born and began to grow up:
Plumb, Always
This song is played as a group gets ready for a bank heist:
Xique xique
This is a mistake/regret/forgiveness type scene:
Blind Melon, Toes Across the Floor
This is played as the sun breaks through the grey clouds. For example, it would be played during a montage of footage where a girl is getting ready for her wedding after going through a lot of trials to get there:
Elbow, One Day Like This
Similar scene as that above, but at a much faster pace:
Vampire Weekend, A-Punk
Hard to seperate the lyrics from the imagery on this one. Mostly about the building of a relationship:
The Airborne Toxic Event, Sometime Around Midnight
This is the song as a gambling addict loses all his money. He is too ashmed to ask for help but wants it desperately:
Duran Duran, Falling Down
This is a song played during a scene where a high school girl leans against her locker looking at the guy she wants to be with as he is with his friends and has his arm around another girl. She feels like she doesn't belong in his world:
The Shins, Phantom Limb
Similar scene as that above, but with adults instead of HS students:
T.A.T.U, obezyanka nol
